@gowithit posted a fantastic video a few months back about milling your own flour

[ - ] Love240 [op] 1 point 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 16:28:07 ago (+1/-0)

Yes! Sue Becker's videos were my introduction into the home milling world too.
Only Real Bread - Staff of Life https://youtu.be/43s0MWGrlT8
That's the video that hooked me.
I've been watching a lot of Felicia Jocelyn's videos recently (who @Gowithit recommended). They're much shorter and to the point. https://www.youtube.com/@GrainsandGrit

What is the motivation to mill your own wheat?

[ - ] Gowithit 2 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 12:32:39 ago (+2/-0)*

@Gowithit has the idea. It was one of Sue Becker's videos that I watched and really took to heart.

It sat right in my soul that this was true and that I needed to go down this road.

Any opinion on sprouted grain breads?

[ - ] Love240 [op] 1 point 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 13:39:52 ago (+1/-0)

I don't have a strong opinion for them, as I have never tried them.
But my initial thoughts are that as soon as the grain is opened, it is beginning to oxidize, so I would assume more nutrient would be available before-hand.

[ - ] Stonkmar 1 point 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 15:31:45 ago (+1/-0)

I've tried it, and I like the few ingredients it has plus, yes, it does have more nutritional value than regular bread. Just wanted to hear what others thought.

Do you have a hamster wheel mill? That'd be sweat

[ - ] GrayDragon 4 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 10:52:01 ago (+4/-0)

I guess the hamster would sweat with all the wheat 240 has it milling.

[ - ] Ragnar 2 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 11:49:33 ago (+2/-0)

I was gonna comment like yours. Hilarious

Autocorrect is a nigger like fagioli

[ - ] HeyJames 2 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 09:51:23 ago (+2/-0)

Will there be Jesus bread

[ - ] Gowithit 2 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 10:00:13 ago (+2/-0)

There can be!

[ - ] Love240 [op] 0 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 16:10:18 ago (+0/-0)

I'm sure at some point I will be doing unleavened bread.

[ - ] Master_Foo 0 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 19:09:42 ago (+0/-0)

(((Unlevened Bread)))
LOL, You got the Pharaoh chasing after you, Rabbi?

[ - ] Love240 [op] 0 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 19:41:14 ago (+0/-0)

He asked if there will be Jesus bread, I took that to mean unleavened bread, the kind that Jesus broke among his disciples.
Ya know, thousands of years after pharaoh...

[ - ] Master_Foo 0 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 19:51:12 ago (+0/-0)

Yes, I read the thread. I understand the context.
Do you understand the context?

Why was (((Jesus))) and (((his))) (((deciples))) (((ritualistically))) eating (((Unleavened Bread))) during (((Passover)))?

[ - ] Love240 [op] 0 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 19:59:10 ago (+0/-0)

The leaven represents the sinful doctrines of the pharisees and the world.
Jesus is the bread of life and was without sin, so therefore is represented by unleavened bread.
I'm not sure why you think 'unleavened bread' is somehow 'jewish' in and of itself.
You're obviously a well-poisoner.

[ - ] Master_Foo 0 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 20:07:55 ago (+0/-0)

You are the perfect example of a Christ-Cuck who has never read the Bible, so you don't understand what you believe.

You don't even know that the last supper was on Passover.
And you don't even know what was being "passed over".

I'll give you a clue.
It's Jews.
The Jews asked their Jew-God to genocide the Egyptians and the Jews placed lamb's blood on their doors so the Jew-God's curse would "pass over" the Jew's house and only kill the first born of the Egyptian's sons.
The Jews had to flee so quickly they had no time to leaven their bread.

But, you didn't know that, because Christ-Cucks don't actually read the Bible.

[ - ] Gowithit 0 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 20:18:50 ago (+0/-0)

it reads just like 9/11

[ - ] Love240 [op] 0 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 20:19:58 ago (+0/-0)

Just because you say it doesn't make it so, well-poisoner.

[ - ] Master_Foo 0 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 21:16:07 ago (+0/-0)

I don't say so.
The Bible does.
I'm just telling you what is in your Jew-Book.
You know, the book you never read.

[ - ] HeyJames 0 points 10 monthsJun 13, 2024 07:17:19 ago (+0/-0)

Haha I was hoping my comment would summon master_foo

[ - ] Nietzsche 4 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 09:50:05 ago (+4/-0)

Excellent idea. I love baking with sourdough cultures. I want to get a mill, but the one I want is expensive. I'll do it someday.

My favorites to make are breads, pizzas (multiple types), croissants, danishes, pretzels, and pasta (I consider it almost baking) .

[ - ] Gowithit 4 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 10:02:51 ago (+4/-0)

pasta (I consider it almost baking)

has levels of frustration? Baking.

[ - ] Ragnar 0 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 11:47:12 ago (+0/-0)

That’s why your husband and children have codenamed you “severe baking”

[ - ] Gowithit 1 point 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 12:00:46 ago (+2/-1)

what? I cant hear you all the way in the back with all of your crying.

[ - ] Ragnar 0 points 10 monthsJun 13, 2024 15:12:51 ago (+0/-0)

Still sitting in the back? Some things never change, huh Juanita?

[ - ] Gowithit 1 point 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 12:03:10 ago (+1/-0)

[ - ] Ragnar 0 points 10 monthsJun 13, 2024 15:13:04 ago (+0/-0)

Ask my mother

[ - ] Love240 [op] 0 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 16:06:27 ago (+0/-0)

Nice! I think my favorite so far has been the bread because it has come out so nice each time, lol! Second I would say has been the banana bread variations.

I've got some durum wheat for the purpose of trying out some homemade pasta in the future here, I'd like to see how that has been turning out for you.

And yeah, the mills are a bit costly, I went with one of the cheaper options, the WonderMill for ~$300. The biscuits I got from freshly ground White Sonora alone is almost worth it to me, but I do wish I maybe went with the NutriMill Harvest (stone ground) for the ability to make a coarser texture ala Cream of Wheat. Which the WonderMill can't really do, it's coarsest setting is still very fine (impact mill).

[ - ] Master_Foo 2 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 08:40:11 ago (+4/-2)

Remember kids, grains are for livestock and slaves.

[ - ] Ragnar 2 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 11:48:20 ago (+2/-0)

Wheat was cultivated by our ancestors. No one does bread better than Scandis. You betray your blood when you reject wheat

[ - ] Gowithit 2 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 11:58:42 ago (+2/-0)

but it kinda is though

[ - ] Ragnar 0 points 10 monthsJun 13, 2024 15:11:35 ago (+0/-0)

Like your people

[ - ] Master_Foo 1 point 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 14:23:19 ago (+1/-0)

Yeah, we cultivated wheat to feed to the lower classes who raised livestock for us to eat.
Wheat is awesome... If you are a nobleman who doesn't have to eat it.

[ - ] Ragnar 0 points 10 monthsJun 13, 2024 15:11:16 ago (+0/-0)

Keep telling yourself that. Look up historical royal menus such as tudors. You will see plenty-a bread and cakes galore. Sure, the rich and the ruling had lots of meat too but actually they had a lot of gelatin and roots AND bread with their meat. They also had dessert that the peasants couldn’t afford. Only the ruling class could have themselves eat cake

I wonder if love240's other sub, /v/pedocreepingonlittlegirls, will get such a public announcement.

[ - ] Ragnar 0 points 10 monthsJun 12, 2024 11:48:47 ago (+0/-0)
