The beauty in having proper command in a wide and varied vocabulary is that it allows you to convey ideas as precisely as possible. It's regularly occured to me that I have to simplify my language to be understood when dealing with the general public, which is often essential to my work.

I can be elegant as fuck if I want to, or I can blend in with the most redneck people you've ever met. There's no language more beautiful than the English language and a proper command of it allows me get my point across to the most intelligent and the simplest of people.

Montreal public transport already duumbed down long time ago. I use public transit once in awhile to take the kids out on train and metro and language is already like that. Don't know when the dumbening happened over here.
