I think they have been for awhile. Served on jury duty once, and I swear all the court cops were as big as they were round. I'm not talking overweight, but morbidly obese. I couldn't believe it.

Depends where you live. My cousin was a sheriff in Las Vegas. He was an army combat vet, but not that big, only 5'8".
