Depends where you live. My cousin was a sheriff in Las Vegas. He was an army combat vet, but not that big, only 5'8". He quit because he said, he was arresting people that could have easily kicked his ass due to how big they were. He had 3 kids at the time and said it's not worth potentially dying over. Works at the post office now.
