TIL squirrels are ride or die. I've had a couple squirrel friends over the years, most notable was Bob. He used to sit on my knee and eat my nuts. His favorite were pecans. I've never seen any kind of heroics like that though.

The squirrels here are alright. There's walnut trees and people feed them those dried corncob things. They don't mess with my shit so I leave them be. The dog on the other hand, will chase them around. Though he doesn't really run very fast, he just gets them up a tree and stares at them wagging his tail and hopping up and down.
