I gave myself a hair cut.

It was pretty alright. Had to have my wife touch it up a bit. Saved myself $25 so that's pretty cool.

I've been doing my own haircuts for about 5 years now. I bought a little strap that goes around your forehead to the back of your neck, and it acts as a guide to help you cut your neck line straight. Everything else I use the clipper with several different guards. I start with the #2 around the ears and back of the neck, and work my way up and use the #8 on top.

I tried it during "covid" and realized halfway through it wasn't going to work. It was terrible. I showed up at a speakeasy. A friend of mine said something like, "GrayDragon, you just really don't give a shit, do you?"

I've just made myself bald every 3-5 days for the last 15 years. I used to use a cut throat razor to make the head lovely and smooth but I've moved onto one of those specialist electric hair trimmers, it's pretty good and after not using a cut throat on my head for a year or so, I tried it again and ended up with some lacerations lol, I've lost the skill of using a cut throat on my head, so I will stick with the speciality trimmer now.

I've never paid for a haircut. My parents cut my hair when I was young and then I learned how to cut my own hair after that.

It's like paying someone to make your coffee. It's an expensive frill that people can live without.

Quality beard trimmer to lowest bare blade settings every 2 weeks, shower then have the wifey do a touch up to make sure I didn't miss anything. I've probably saved a fortune over the past 10 years simply doing this.
