Canned chicken, in my opinion, is only good for chicken salad. And it's not even really good for that. You could drain it and shred it up real good and heat it up in a red sauce to use on pasta. You just don't want to have it without being immersed in a couple other flavors. Like, don't make pasta and put it on top.
If you got some cream of mushroom soup you could probably mix the chicken up in that with however you like to season it, cook the penne and mix it up with the COM and chicken mix, throw that in a glass casserole dish and bake it for like 30/35 minutes and it would be alright.
Throw it in a pan with some barbeque sauce. Bring it to a boil, then cover it and let it simmer on low heat until it's all thoroughly mixed together. Boil it with chicken broth, carrots, onions, celery, rosemary and serve it with noodles. Mix it up with some apple chunks, pecans, celery, mayonnaise and a little greek yogurt and make a nice chicken salad. Run it through a food processor with come cream cheese, pimientos, and a touch of blue berries to make a nice spread for crackers. Cook it in some cream of mushroom soup with some butter, salt and pepper and a little Worcestershire sauce and serve it over rice.
Ah yes. Boil up a large pot and get your penne at a rolling boil. Once it is nearly done plate it and enjoy with sauce or butter. Disregard the chicken.
