I'm from a place and time when I had a White bus driver for all White children. Dude was all smiles, and the children thanked him every day. I remember he even gave me a choice to let me or this girl off last, I chose last to let her go home first. (And to spend more time talking to her.)

This was at a time when I was still playing with yellow metal Tonka trucks and rolling around in the dirt after school. We had chickens, ducks, and a goose. The goose bit people though.
