Poll: Should the Red Message Envelope notification be moved back out to the visible part of the main page?

I have trouble hitting the tiny menu button to the left of the upgoat banner. 50% of the time I hit the banner by mistake and reload the main page. That triple-line button is too small, too close to the edge of the screen and too close to the upgoat banner. It should be spaced further from other clickable things.

Oh, and for the love of christ can somebody make URLs in chat clickable?

By virtue of the fact that I conjured him via the @system. He should see this post. What are you using to view the site? Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, Phone, Ouija Board, etc....

If you can share additional info, ie. OS, Manufacturer, Browser, etc... That might be helpful. If the great one does reach out to you, maybe you can send him your details...

The URL problem has very little to do with my specific setup because everybody else has the same issue (except maybe Netscape Navigator users).
I will literally kill anyone who tells me to update anything.

So you don't have to click the 3 horizontal bars, on the left to see it on the iPad. Interesting, I wonder if @system just made that change for PC based consumers. Thanks for letting me know.

Have to confess even I have used a phone to access the internet, but you don't spend all day in the bathroom. Messages can wait a few minutes.

Seriously though, phone users should be blocked from internet access.

I think @System undid the change, I would've been happy if he had just put the Red envelope on the main screen. Doesn't make sense (IMHO) from a UI/CX perspective to bury a notification icon out of sight.

Can you put just the envelope notification icon back on the front page? I really think that this is a case of "Out of Sight, Out of Mind..."

And the point of any message board, is to keep the flow of conversation, and the related insanity, going...

It looks like you would have real estate for it (Just the envelope) between the "Bump" & "Share Link" buttons, or, to the right of the "Discuss" button.
