Thanks for opening the thread. I dunno how late I'll be here tonight but I have something sort of special.

This wasn't even uploaded on my share site. I just uploaded it now. So, it hasn't been shared in a while - perhaps only once in the past.

This is one of GnR's best tracks, though you'll probably never hear it on the radio. If you're umfamiliar with the song, be sure to check the original out so that you can hear the lyrics. It's a pretty kicking tune.

Huh...

I was in my studio and fucking around. For some reason, I decided to check the monitor's settings. I wanted to see if I could have a higher refresh rate, I think. I've actually forgotten the reason why, but I'm pretty sure that's why I opened the settings.

This monitor is just a disposable monitor. It's maybe 27" and from an off-brand - Westinghouse. Like, they just slapped their name on a generic monitor made in China. It was sub-$150 and purchased because I don't care about the quality and it's in the studio where it may get little use or even knocked off the desk as we might just be drunk while in there.

As a lark, I changed it to a 16:10 resolution, as I couldn't adjust the frame rate. I didn't think I'd be able to, but I figured I'd check.

Anyhow, changing the resolution improved the monitor a great deal. Like, the blacks are now much darker. The contrast is better. Other colors are more vibrant.

I have no fucking clue why...

Changing the resolution changed the color profile.

I know, I know. It’s Saturday. I’m late. But I woke up this morning, saw the thread and how you posted to just audio record on the phone, so I sat down, coffee right over there and played this cold first thing. It’s not perfect, solo is a little sloppy, sound quality is close to dog shit, but the song rips. Cheers, fellas, I’ll post here more. I’ve been lacking.
