The "native" Americans were savages. People seem to forget that before Europeans got here they were in wars amonst themselves constantly.
This is why I think spics have such a higher degree of violence in their countries. Back in the early 1500s us Europeans had already been through a cultural and societal renaissance. All while over here in the Americas they were still eating each other and sacrificing each other to their "Gods". You can't breed that innate savagry out in the span of a little over 500 years.
