Boiling just liquifies and mixes the microplastics with the water. They can no longer detect the plastics in the water because it's now broken down further. But the particles still remain.

The article at least explains that it doesn’t break plastic down further. It causes it to form some kind of capsule around itself, which renders it harmless. But you’re right distilling is still much better.

Those are not charcoal activated filters. Reverse osmosis can use I think, but the plastic on the hull of filters is harmless as the water is filtered and sent to the tap after that.

I don't have flouride in my municipal water. I have chlorine bleach.

I've always used kettle water. Boil it and leave it in the kettle for the remainder of the day.

Very misleading.
It repeatedly claimed boiling can remove them, then describes how it causes them to form a casing around itself, “rendering them harmless”…
Then proceeds to claim again that it therefor “removes them”.

Wouldn’t boiling just melt plastic?
