They'll insist you drink out of plastic bottles though. Can't was those btus.

what? it kills the microplastics? lol

I don't have flouride in my municipal water. I have chlorine bleach.

I've always used kettle water. Boil it and leave it in the kettle for the remainder of the day.

Thoughts on gravity filters as an alternative?

[ - ] CoronaHoax 2 points 1.2 yearsFeb 28, 2024 15:39:57 ago (+2/-0)

Yikes you're going to drink or use tap water for cooking just because you boiled it?

[ - ] Razzoriel 0 points 1.2 yearsFeb 28, 2024 17:41:53 ago (+0/-0)

Niggers dont know into water filters.

My water filter is made out of extruded plastic!

[ - ] Razzoriel 0 points 1.2 yearsFeb 28, 2024 20:43:41 ago (+0/-0)

The inside or the hull?

[ - ] Name 0 points 1.2 yearsFeb 29, 2024 06:08:03 ago (+0/-0)

I think poly propylene filter cartridges are fairly common?

[ - ] Razzoriel 0 points 1.2 yearsFeb 29, 2024 07:52:05 ago (+0/-0)

Those are not charcoal activated filters. Reverse osmosis can use I think, but the plastic on the hull of filters is harmless as the water is filtered and sent to the tap after that.

Very misleading.
It repeatedly claimed boiling can remove them, then describes how it causes them to form a casing around itself, “rendering them harmless”…
Then proceeds to claim again that it therefor “removes them”.

Wouldn’t boiling just melt plastic?

[ - ] ModernGuilt 5 points 1.2 yearsFeb 28, 2024 15:18:29 ago (+5/-0)

Lol they don't even know WHY boiling works

[ - ] SocksOnCats 8 points 1.2 yearsFeb 28, 2024 15:42:33 ago (+8/-0)

Pro-tip: It doesn't work. Boiling just liquifies and further breaks down the plastics in to smaller particles.

That's not even the bad part: The heat releases hormone-wrecking BPA and carcinogenic hydrocarbons into the water.

There is science and (((Science!TM))). Most normies follow the latter.

[ - ] Clubberlang 3 points 1.2 yearsFeb 28, 2024 20:00:49 ago (+3/-0)

The Science^TM has been renamed scientism.

[ - ] Stonkmar 1 point 1.2 yearsFeb 28, 2024 17:43:20 ago (+1/-0)

From latin to english; Sci enti fic translates to "know that it is fiction".
Go ahead, try it.

Distill it

[ - ] SocksOnCats 13 points 1.2 yearsFeb 28, 2024 15:41:24 ago (+13/-0)

This.

Boiling just liquifies and mixes the microplastics with the water. They can no longer detect the plastics in the water because it's now broken down further. But the particles still remain.

[ - ] Cunt 2 points 1.2 yearsFeb 28, 2024 19:38:15 ago (+2/-0)

Yeah and boiling would concentrate it because pure water escapes as steam during boiling.

[ - ] 3Whuurs 0 points 1.2 yearsFeb 28, 2024 20:55:31 ago (+0/-0)

The article at least explains that it doesn’t break plastic down further. It causes it to form some kind of capsule around itself, which renders it harmless. But you’re right distilling is still much better.
