You would think the story would focus on the eating disorder but that wouldn't generate the clicks like this.
If, yes if, the kid was removed because of some sort of eating disorder, the parents would likely lie about the reasoning. The reporter should feel an obligation to flush that out so the reader could determine the truth of that cause.
