Do you really need a laptop?

If not, then you could build your own desktop and get so much more for your money.

There are literally pocket sized desktops out there, and you can build those VERY Cheap. Some use Linux, and others use Windows.

Framework makes an excellent product by all accounts. Not cheap but if it checks all the boxes then you won't be sorry.

AMD GPUs kind of suck these days, need nvidia to take advantage of all the cool AI toys.

I'm not sure what "all the cool AI toys" means exactly but AMD's GPUs are fine. Maybe for some niche application -- like AIs -- but does that actually impact you? Besides if you're gong with Linux then their GPUs are much better supported.

AMD is king on Linux, no one cares for ai, only thing Nvidia has over AMD is Ray tracing and even then shits still somewhat in its gimmick stage. It's getting better but so is AMD at it too.
