Supermarkets petrol stations and a couple of random restaurants on built in or rented gennies but most of the two nearest suburbs closed up and not even traffic lights going. Hell McShits is even closed. Ya get down the mountain and back into the metro burbs about a half hour away and all is normal.
Friend of mine went through a hurricane in Florida when he was a teenager. Power out for 3 weeks. Said he loved it. Went mudding every day. Worked like crazy all he wanted and made a shit ton of money and blowed it all on hookers, booze, and drugs. HAHAHA!
Saw the pics, dude. That was one motherf..ker of a storm that swept through parts of Victoria including Melbourne Town. Strange. You'd expect those cyclonic conditions in tropical QLD not staid Victoria. As Bob Dylan said:
