I was in the middle of this one. No shit it was a big ass quick bitch slap and a half from mother nature.
Watched it coming for about half an hour massive bolts of lightning and shit. That's about when the power went out (two massive transmission pylons apparently blew over somewhere) it hit and we had sideways trees and half golfball sized hail and shit blowing past for about 15 minutes and it was fuckin sunshine again but with shit strewn everywhere and powerlines down.
Still no power at my place except a generator powering the fridge tv phone chargers phone services sketchy as fuck trucks outside cutting up massive trees off the lines (were talking fuckin 6.5 foot radius old growth rainforest shit here not your average suburban council planted stuff that's blown over. Looking at the blackout website I'm either in the '2 days until fixed' or '6 days'
Fun and fuckin games. Thankfully my office is now my car and my work is just inside town.
No looting or any shit like that going on down here but I'll give you one guess what we don't have a lot of up here...
