I bought two bone-in young turkey breasts and was very pleased with the way they came out. Smoked at 225 until 145 with this honey rub I bought. Then put in a foil container with some butter on top and some apple cider vinegar on bottom to create a bit of flavor and steam. Cook until 165 internal. Let rest in this square foil container for a few hours then slice.
The turkey turned out very moist and delicious. I believe each cost me about $10 and it yielded enough turkey to fill an 18x18 foil container all the way up. For the price and amount of effort you really can't beat that.
We have a family member who has alpha gal. Turkey has become a main source of food for us. I like turkey and it seems like we always get a lot of meat for the money with turkey.
Can confirm the duck egg thing. I'd say Campbells lay more eggs throughout the whole year than chickens. We don't eat the campbells, just the pekins and cayugas.
I actually switched to ground turkey for my tacos and other "ground beef" alternatives. The price of it came down enough to match beef, so I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised. It was lighter on my stomach and given all the other ingredients I couldn't tell the difference.
We always smoke our turkeys. Never thought smoking them would make them really moist, but it does. Usually buy 4 turkeys when they go on sale and smoke one a quarter. Great lunchmeat.

Watch out for ticks. BTW, duck eggs put chicken eggs to shame. If you have a chance to raise your own, check it out.
