Possible bug: Wrong number of comments being displayed

For @PeckerwoodPerry 's brown bread post, I am seeing a total of 1 comment on both New view and within the post itself, when there are actually 2 comments at the time of this posting.

I refreshed/reloaded both pages. No change.


*Edit: Now there are 3 comments and it's showing 2.

If this is the only thread with the issue recently, probably an anomaly. The code updates the database with the comment data and if successful then it updates the counter. Possibly something went fucky during the last step. I'll look into a better way to do this, maybe combine the steps or something.

That occurred to me as well.

Never used either of those features myself.

Pretty sure neither one of the users who had posts at the time would have me blocked since I'm on good terms with both.

I think for me the count lagged after I made a comment. Same happens with upvotes sometimes too.
