Controlling language is a method to train the subject to constantly be doing mental checks to verify they're satisfying external power's desires. It conditions the mind to be in a constant state of seeking approval. It makes the subject very pliable and responsive to suggestion. It's also why they've ramped up the set of banned words, the severity of being caught using them, and all the "pronoun" nonsense introduced in recent years.
