You must be an engineer. In 1986, I got a Lego wheat thresher for Christmas. That’s back when they first started adding gears to the sets. I think my engineer dad bought me that gift for himself. He kept building weird gear contraptions. The wheat thresher never got built.

Here's a real interesting one. Realize what's going on here. This is a piston and a piston cylinder that is turning to cranks without any side to side Force. Any normal engine crankshaft puts a lot of lateral Force to convert the vertical motion into a circular motion. This double action in this particular visualization prevents the need for any side to side forced to turn it into a circular motion. The force is always vertical.
