The Eskimos, to beat hypothermia, carried dried whale blubber around. Anyone that got left out in the cold could eat it like jerky and, for reasons I dont understand, your body would work in overdrive to digest the fat and you would get hot from it, saving peoples lives.
The way it was described to me is you actually get hot.
Ever built an igloo? And eaten whale blubber jerky in your igloo in your seal skin outfit with your narwhal spear in the non-corner? Science? ...deleted a bit of blasphemy about that life sounding like a version of heaven- and you want maglev monorails? F!$.
Some guy Zacharius Kunuk has been sending NASA information about the Inuit elders' observations.
They [Inuit] agree the sun doesn't rise were it used to, they have longer day light to hunt and the sun is higher than it used to be, and warms up quicker than before. The elders who were interviewed across the north all said the same thing: their sky has changed. The stars the Sun and the Moon have all changed affecting the temperature.
"the elders all agree, they believe the Earth has shifted, wobbled or tilted to the North" on its axis.
About a hundred years ago there was some guy who had the radical idea that you could survive only on meat. I think this was the 1800s and everybody thought he's preposterous. So visited the eskimos he came back down from the Eskimo land to the west and he basically sort of locked himself in a room and told his scientists buddies watch me eat only meat and be fine. Well he wasn't fine he had a problem he started having health concerns etc. Turns out what he had done wrong was he was just eating the protein from the meat. Muscle fiber in other words. When you converted to whole organ eating including liver kidneys and fat with the protein from the meat he was fine and was able to sustain himself indefinitely on that diet. Now of course the eskimos could have told him that cuz they had been doing that forever and ever because Eskimos never ever saw a vegetable in their whole life until Western Civilization came up to them and gave them corrupted food.
There are other things like that as well, such as The Chain.
I've started to try my hand at butchery here and there. Last year the family and I (mostly me and Mrs. Fash with some help from our oldest son) butchered an entire cow.

If your body runs on stored fat isn't it better to give it fat rather than giving it sugar or carbs or something else which it has to convert to fat?
