I used to always argue this point. True AI is not achievable, there will always be a human engineering the code or fixing glitches. Heck they keep neutering any learning algo that leans to the right wing spectrum.

Seconds don’t matter to a PC that can read everything. So what if it takes a week, after that week it has read everything.

I can spot it fairly easily. But most people cannot. I see them all the time on Gab and people waste so much time and energy arguing with it. If you go onto its profile it's so obvious that it's a bot.

Most goats already don't believe anything contrary which it could possibly be reading as training data. That said, if it's able to select the best arguments then it could end up training goats to consider the best riposte, increasing their real-life power level.

I wonder how challenging it must be to try using LLMs against goats, where one has no choice but to concede that it must say nigger without hesitation, and use jew as an adjective for deceitful. I know the model doesn't care, but it's amusing to imagine the massive effort to subdue exactly that in which it must engage to have any chance of passing as a goat!
