I got my BMX in 94. I remember it well. But those times are gone and the jews want to steal that from your kids and grandkids.
Let's make it for them.

[ - ] Belfuro 2 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 15:10:48 ago (+2/-0)

Got a 3 speed banana bike in 82. Got up eacglh day, ate, rode out, came home at dark.

Safe, fun, didn't know how good we had it

[ - ] bosunmoon 7 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 13:39:50 ago (+7/-0)

I've still got my '84 mongoose expert just in case this happens to me.

[ - ] dassar 0 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 16:27:58 ago (+0/-0)*

Yea - the mongoose with the double gusset??? . That was the big thing for all use newbies transitioning to our first bmx - gotta have the double gusset. Lol

They were the bomb when they first appeared - some kid in the neighborhood had an all chromed one with the blue spokes, 'totally an asshole and everyone was jealous'..
I got a second-hand Cherry red Redline bmx in 83-84 for my birthday, put me in with all the cool kids - instead of my brothers hand me down 70's chopper with after market green banana seat and broken plastic stick shift.

I had a diamond back

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 1 point 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 19:23:36 ago (+1/-0)

That's what I had. A diamond back. We were like a gang and looked down on anyone who rode anything less.

[ - ] dassar 4 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 20:00:23 ago (+4/-0)

Legit - and one had to be able to pull a decent ass 'bunny hop' before being took seriously.

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 1 point 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 22:44:53 ago (+1/-0)

kek for real. I had this buddy who could sit on his seat and peddle a wheelie forever. We used to have competitions to see who could get the most peddles in a wheely and there that little prick would go. He was the master! I've never seen anything like it since. He shoulda joined the circus.

[ - ] dassar 1 point 4 monthsDec 3, 2023 14:41:11 ago (+1/-0)

Oh jeez - we had one of them too. A real Little guy but man - everywhere he went it was on one wheel - i couldnt pull one to save my life (maybe literally 3-5 peddles lol).

[ - ] Clubberlang 1 point 4 monthsDec 3, 2023 21:14:49 ago (+1/-0)

I was like the dude in hotrod but not a jew and could jump ramps.

So nothing like the dude in hotrod.

I was 'The Fall Guy'. I loved that shit back then.

[ - ] Vrbllpollushin 0 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 20:15:55 ago (+0/-0)

I wanted that bike so fucking bad. You lucky bastard.

[ - ] Clubberlang 1 point 4 monthsDec 3, 2023 21:13:01 ago (+1/-0)

Aye injoydit muchly thankum.

[ - ] dassar 0 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 20:17:19 ago (+0/-0)

I remember Diamond backs being one of the brands everyone wanted in my school - my redline seemed damn near indestructible.

[ - ] bosunmoon 0 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 22:07:43 ago (+0/-0)

I've got a mint redline mx-3 if you're in the market.

[ - ] dassar 0 points 4 monthsDec 3, 2023 14:36:53 ago (+0/-0)

Lol, free shipping to NZ ??

In all honesty - i've just recalled my old redline frame is in the rafters of the family home garage - still with the matt black coat i put on in the late 80's.

[ - ] bosunmoon 0 points 4 monthsDec 3, 2023 14:44:27 ago (+0/-0)

Just fly out here to NewEngland and ride it back.

[ - ] dassar 0 points 4 monthsDec 3, 2023 14:51:12 ago (+0/-0)

Haha, i wouldn't dare.

[ - ] lord_nougat 0 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 21:13:15 ago (+0/-0)

I did too! For like maybe two weeks, before some nigger stole it. My first and only BMX. Never got another one after that.

[ - ] bosunmoon 0 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 21:59:04 ago (+0/-0)*

no gusset on the 84 they'd already gone out of style, but it does have a strait dropout on the forks for rad bar spins.

[ - ] dassar 0 points 4 monthsDec 3, 2023 14:49:50 ago (+0/-0)

Ahh, gottcha. Must thinking of the 1980 supergoose - literally our entire clique was separated by brand and whether frames employed single or double gussets lol, (kids man - so picky).

[ - ] Rowdybme 0 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 22:49:04 ago (+0/-0)*

I bought my son a mongoose. They're kinda crap now. I wonder if they still make GT dynos

[ - ] bosunmoon 0 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 23:47:12 ago (+0/-0)

Well no, GT and Dyno were to different brands but they both had Kim Kasten designing bitchin bikes. Huffy gobbled them both up Haro came into existence and Kim Kasten went off making bikes on his own.

I feel sorry for the people who missed out on the 80s. If I could relive one year, over and over, for all of eternity, it would be 1985. I was a freshman in highschool and it was a landmark time for me. Viva la 80s.

That sandbox under the fort was AWESOME! I remember thinking a lot about how there surely wasn’t anyone happier than me.

[ - ] prototype 1 point 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 15:21:33 ago (+1/-0)

1. make impromptu slingshot out of rubber bands strung together

2. build a sandcastle

3. little plastic army men go to war

4. take turns firing marbles at the opposing castles

5. see which castle falls first.

Epic stories were told.

And I didn't even get the police called on my seven year old self for having a slingshot.

[ - ] Rowdybme 3 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 23:19:02 ago (+3/-0)

We lived on a cul de sac. We turned part of the road into a baseball diamond and would play baseball with a tennis ball. We went to a nearby Forrest and built a swing over the creek. We made tree houses. We played guns with low powered bb guns. Were "borrowing" our parents cars at 14. Now I feel like I might go to jail if my 12 year old isn't wearing a helmet and being supervised while riding a bike.

83-84 was great. I was just out of high school, so was my hottie GF. We lived in a 5th floor walk-up and banged 10 times a day. I drove a orange 1976 Opel Manta. Good times.

[ - ] Rowdybme 0 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 23:21:25 ago (+0/-0)

What's an Opel and what's a walk up?

[ - ] dassar 1 point 4 monthsDec 3, 2023 14:55:26 ago (+1/-0)

A 76 Opel Manta https://th.bing.com/th?id=ODL.2929f087dfbac2c01769d37d52ee3837&w=234&h=120&c=7&qlt=80&pcl=1b1a19&o=6&pid=13.1

A walk-up is an apartment/ building block with no elevator.

That would be great.

I wonder if everyone thinks the 80s were great, or just those of us who were children at the time?

I feel like the 90s were good, but it seems like that's when a lot of the pro-black stuff in media began to accelerate.

[ - ] Trope 1 point 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 21:57:57 ago (+1/-0)

For what I love about the 90s, I wouldmimagine much of it begannin the 80s.

Sure, the smart nerd in the crew was a black kid with an asian kid thrown in, the main character could still be blonde.

Oh, what a time.

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 3 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 19:22:39 ago (+3/-0)

I wish I could load up my fam and go back to like 1975 and live out my days and die before 1995.

That hit hard

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 2 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 22:41:54 ago (+2/-0)

I really am beginning to think that either in 1997 or 2012 the Sun exploded and sent us into some alternate reality where eberything is fucky and sucks or CERN did something and sent us here.

[ - ] Vrbllpollushin 1 point 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 23:19:54 ago (+1/-0)

I hear ya. My personal life EXPLODED in 2012. Got divorced, lost my job, and my world got flipped turned upside down. For real. I have been thinking that maybe the calendar thing wasn't bullshit. It was also when normals started using the web hard, and Tumblr started raising and grooming kids. Totally fucked.

You had your fun. I'm of a similar age. The trick now -- particularly as the clock winds down -- is to do anything and everything to give your grand kids and their kids the chance to have something similar. Do the things their parents cannot.

[ - ] JamesMadison 2 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 15:26:52 ago (+2/-0)

You should've experinced the '50's. The country was over 90% white. Amos and Andy was on TV. The Gray Ghost was a popular weekly show. Local station played Dixie when it shut down broadcasting at midnight. We learned lots of old-timey folk tunes at school. You never saw a nigger where one didn't belong. Money actually had value. A big event was waiting to see how the car manufacturers would change their product line-up each year.

Now we get to see which oversized bubbleUV they slightly make the headlight assembly different from the Korean made bubbleUV

Nostalgia is gay. Better to carve out your world than to retreat into selective memories.

[ - ] BoraxTheFungarian 2 points 4 monthsDec 2, 2023 15:16:02 ago (+2/-0)

What are memories for if not building your better world? Desire helps us grow.

I’m guessing there are memories you’d prefer to avoid which is fair. Can’t be living in the past and this I agree with.
