I found this part hard to follow as it seems at odds with the rest of the Abstract. Possibly the writer is saying that because there are more straights than gays then 11 straight offenders :1 gay offender means the gays are over-represented:

But the final statement in the Abstract would seem to put paid to your hypothesis that gays have a greater proclivity to commit child sexual abuse than straights. Seems you need to find another study to support that if you can.
