The funnies part is that he said the spying would be used toward political ends. That was his actual warning.

Then Trump called him a traitor and said he should be hung.

And even then Trump didn't put two and two together and continued to call Ed Snowden a traitor that should be hanged.

Trump may hate the deep state but he does not have the intelligence to deal with admittedly some of the smartest people with the most sophisticated tools with significant means for coordination and absurd levels of legal immunity. If you, a single man, are going to take that on, you are going to have to be the smartest man in the world. And Trump isn't there.
