Cases are continuing to rise at an alarming rate and many may have gone undetected during the pandemic, according to sexual health expert and RACGP Specific Interests Chair Dr Lara Roeske, "over the past decade the prevalence of infectious syphilis has continued to rise in several priority populations across the nation."
Of great concern to Dr Roeske is the 223% increase in the rates of infection in women of reproductive age 15−44 years, while younger women aged 15−24 years now have the largest increase in rates of new infection, an increase of about 2475%,’ she said.
"Syphilis is a life long disease affecting multiple organ systems if it is not diagnosed and treated" Dr Roeske said, re-infection with syphilis is possible and not uncommon. The disease has a number of catastrophic outcomes, including adverse pregnancy outcomes and neonatal death from congenital syphilis. RACGO.org.
Syphilis actually originated in the Americas and was introduced into Europe on Columbus' return from the New World.
That is the generally accepted notion, however more recent studies indicate diverse syphilis strains were circulating in Europe perhaps decades before Columbus' voyages, however the cases in point seemed all to have been in and around the time of Columbus in any case.
Marco Polo is said to have crossed into North America from the west in the 13th century, we have long suggested that Columbus was a latecomer that the NW had been explored and mapped long before he went there, and that secret earlier return voyages had brought the illness in.

Fun fact, apparently syphilis actually originated in the American prairie nigger, and was first introduced to Europe by Columbus men returning from the new world.
Ya im sure there were voyages for 1000s of years before the chugs even got here. The Windover Bog site is over 8000 years old and there’s no telling how long they were here before then, but they were clearly europeans and had the identical burial ritual used in southern Sweden and Finland at exactly that same time lol

Sorry it was still on my feeder here it is again .. hope it's the right one.
Yeah I took a look at the Windover Bog website it was quite informative, the one thing that caught my eye on the FloridaTraveler.org link was the representation of the Vero Mammoth that is said to be at least 13,000 yrs old.
Whereas the engraving has depth which is taught in art school and I am not sure ppl living at that time had the artistic skill to do it, that it's a fake .. I have long decried the French cave paintings as fake for the same reason.
Just a little more on the deletion .. I thought the post I deleted would be better as a submission post instead of a post reply so I replaced it .. I did not know there was a reply .. I feel awful.

I also believe it is a bit higher than that. I know way too many people who faked their way through.
