The name jews comes from the tribe of Judah, not the whole people of Israel.

Go read the article. The true tribe of Judah moved into Europe after the Assyrian captivity. They were called Jutes in Europe and many settled into southern Britain. The Edomite converts called themselves jews. Never Judah.
