Man, I'm hopeful for Starlink. I hear they're very good. I'm just outside of their range. I bet I'd still connect to their satellites, just not optimally. I'd take a degraded service.

Ah well... It adds some character to my life, I suppose. I probably could have returned in about an hour last night, but I just accepted that I was offline and spent some time with the missus.

That's not so bad. We watched a stupid movie and then went to bed where we started another movie but I don't recall the name or how it ended. I don't even recall the first 15 minutes of the movie.

That's not a terrible outcome.

It was an excellent evening. I haven't any complaints!

I did think about calling a couple of people to see if they wanted to come chill out, but I decided not to do so. I'd have just called my son and company and maybe the mechanics or maybe the supervisor of the farm. I wouldn't have called too many rambunctious people. Instead, I called nobody.

I suppose I'm getting old. Ten years ago, I'd have not called anyone - I'd have gone out to find the fun. Five years ago, I'd have invited people over. Today? Well, I just spent a nice night in with the missus. I didn't even get drunk!

I was playing cards with my son and a couple of his friends last night as they needed another player, and some other friends of theirs showed up here all drunk. We finished the card game, and one of those kids I don't know asked if that was my drums in there, so I said you want to hear some guitar? He says sure, so I went in the next room here and turned that half stack on and started jamming this tune and those kids came running in there and threw money at me and just going crazy. They were saying 'holy fuck! You're a Rock Star!' and asking what band I was in. They were all surrounding me wanting to shake my hand like I am Jimi Hendrix or something
