Why Russian food is misrepresented?

submitted by Conspirologist to Food 7 monthsOct 3, 2023 10:13:37 ago (+5/-4)     (Food)

Even if I don't like Mark Weins because he is a freak, he made good videos about Russian restaurants in Russia. Have you noticed that there are almost no Russian restaurants in EU and US? Since Russian food is delicious, I wonder why it's the less represented food in EU and US. My only guess is becausev Jews hate Russians the most. There is disgusting 3rd world food available everywhere, but not Russian.

What do you think?

Potatoes if they don't turn them all into vodka

I've had beef stroganoff at a restaurant before. Also many instances of perogi and chicken kiev at local butchers. It's all considered white food. So you'll find it, if you look for it. Better yet, cook something Russian yourself and get in touch with your ancestry.

Yeah. As a child I had that "hamburger helper" beef stroganoff. Same thing, right.

I love that shit. I usually like to add a can of green beans to it to make it healthy

You would have to be in a place with a ton of Russians to have Russian restaurants. The Sacramento region has the most Russians outside of Russia and there are no Russian restaurants because Russians are into car flipping and construction. There’s little money in restaurants.
