Are ghosts real?

I live in an apartment. I have a motion sensing camera. Maybe 4-5 times since Iv lived here it’ll go off wake me up. I hear noises I check the camera and see nothing. Grab a weapon search the apartment nothing there. I have a heavy lamp from my dead grandma. One of those old library lamps you see in movies. Heavy. Brass, glass, heavy a breeze won’t knock this thing down. I have it sitting on my desk. I havnt touched my desk in months. One night I hear glass shattering. I come out can’t figure out what it was. A day or two later I find the lamp broken. The lamp sat in the middle of the desk and like I said hadn’t been touched. This morning I wake up. To somebody walking around my apartment. I have the hallway light on. I watch and hear somebody walk by my door bump it. I watch the shadow under the door walk into my brathroom a dead end. I get up grab a weapon. Nobody’s there again. Idk man. I’m skeptical but it’s also weird this shit keeps happening.

Sure they are .. in Queensland part way along the Mundubbera / Durong Road a few clicks south of the town, there was an old abandoned Community Hall with a rainwater tank at back .. thus one day I stopped to get water and when I opened the gate into the overgrown yard the door of the hall which had been partly ajar slammed shut .. made me think the shade of some long forgotten deb was at hand.

At about age 9 yrs in Adelaide SA the door to an abandoned inner city building which had been locked tight every time I had been by was slightly open, it looked like it had been pulled closed but the catch had not taken properly, I gave it a shove and it swung open, inside were bare floorboards and an empty receptionist's cubicle with no telephone..

A broad set of stairs went upwards to a bare corridor with about three doors, as I got to the top of the stairs the door nearest the steps opened and a man dressed in old fashioned circa 1959 office clothing stepped out, he looked me up and down then went back in leaving the door open, I stuck my head in the room was entirely bare and empty, I decamped.

There have been quite a few others, after working in Australia's Northern Territory upon returning to Brisbane I needed to find a flat and moved into a tenement in the suburb of New Farm, the day I moved in there was a figure standing in the corner looking at me when I returned it's gaze it vanished, shortly after when I was asleep I felt someone sit on the end of my bed, I delivered a mighty kick and felt good contact that spirit never bothered me again.

Up the pub I ran into an Englishman I had known at work and in the pub for quite a long time, he was betting on the TAB and I said "are you backing a winner," he abused me .. saw him a few days later in the workplace and said "are you backing a winner you pommie ----."

Maybe a couple weeks after that in the pub I had to take a leak, he was in the toilet and greeted me in a friendly manner I wasn't unkind to him .. he was still there when I left, he never came out and when another bloke went in and came out I asked if there was anyone in there, he said there was no one .. some time later I heard he had committed suicide weeks before.

Ok but Iv never had rats. If I had rats wouldn’t there be some evidence of it somewhere. Cause with the lamp that was my first thought. When it happened I super cleaned my apartment. I went though every nook and cranny moved my furniture around everything and I didn’t see anything. Iv never had and of my food being ripped into. Nothing like that

Rats are weird. I used to keep them as pets. Though I never sought out them: I was a step parent to pet rats. Rats that have been domesticated are very personable. Look for droppings ie poop pellets. Rats that have been acclimated to humans ill only poop in areas that are hidden.

What Cantaloupe said about the rat and electrical system. Might be worth paying attention to any other 'odd' phenomena you notice. Brain tumors and other issues can affect your perception of reality. It's probably just a ghost, but potential health problems work out best when caught early.

i had a painting fall off a wall in the middle of the night that had been there for years with zero issues, on a second floor apt next to train tracks. Had that painting not fallen off the wall when it did, i would not have woken up to blow out the candle that was dripping wax and about to catch all the christmas decorations on fire.

some kind of ghost/spirit saved my ass one night, only explanation i have.

it was 3am, no trains, no doors slamming, very quiet otherwise

This isn’t ghost related but I almost burned this apartment down when I was sick. My sinuses were bad so I found out if I took a really long steamy shower I could by myself like 3-4 hours of sleep before they backed up again. So later when I got sick I was just like I’ll skip the shower and boil a pot of water. So it worked but not getting a lot of sleep I just passed out again. I woke up hours later the sun was down. In my kitchen I see a pot on the stove glowing. It was molten metal. The pan split in half half of it was on the ground. So I guess I got lucky on tjay one. Although I often wish everything would burn down

Hmm. That could be thought. I do know your mind can fuck with you when I taught myself to lucid dream for the longest time I kept havin fake memories. This is different though I wake up and hear
somethin so my adrenaline instantly turns on

See that’s what I thought about the light. I thought a rat climbed on the wire or some shit. But iv never seen a rat. No rat shit. Nothin. Never had food torn into. Shit trips me out man. You’re talkin a 10 pound lamp five pounds whatever it was going 3 feet off a desk.

Iv been drunk and high for most of my life (that’s fucking sad) but no I wasn’t this morning. Look Iv lived in several apartments Iv never had this shit happen and it happens once every few months
