Did you know Innagoddadvida is actually In the Garden of Eden? Supposedly there was a mistranslation of the title before they released the song.

No. The singer was super drunk when they recorded it the first time. After almost shitcanning it, they decided to change the words, and re-recorded the album version as 'Inagaddadavida'.

That's kinda what I was alluding to, but didn't elaborate on it. The story I heard was the singer was on the phone with their manager, and when the manager asked what their next song would be, the singer who was very drunk on wine slurred "Inagaddadavida", which was actually supposed to mean " In the Garden of Eden". The rest of story pretty much lines up with your post.

Who knows? There's probably several versions of story, but at least a couple of things are for certain, the original title was "In the Garden of Eden," and there was definitely a lot of alcohol involved. ;)

Best band in America when Jerry was alive. Now all that’s left is a bunch of old people still sucking off the teat and trying to recreate what it was. It will never happen again.
Weir’s band Dead and Company really sucks, they held Mayer back from really kicking ass.
I’m glad they broke up.

People really like the Greatful Dead. Not for the music of course, because it's crap. They just like to wear the tshirts so other people know they like to smoke marijuana. But marijuana is for the gays and the blacks.

Some of the music is ok, but it wasn't about the music. It was a movement that was manufactured to steer counter culture in a direction that is desirable for controlling interests. I'm not sure if the Dead was Tavistock or not, but they definitely acted as a distribution pipeline for LSD and that wasn't an accident.

Just like Dylan and many others- the dead didn’t even write their songs for the most part.
Whoever it is you grew up listening to, I guarantee- did it write their own songs - with exceptions…

The dead influenced more than you think.
The music was good. The logic behind the movement ( and business) was absolutely flawed.
