There is only one objectively good and useful EV.
A golf cart.

Good article. It covers many of the points I've heard before critical of EV's. The ultimate purpose of these vehicles is not to help the environment, but to restrict and control our movements.

I think an EV as a 2nd car for short city travel is a fine idea. EV as your main car is retarded.

The real trick the long distance travel is to rent a cheap car from a car rental company. If it breaks down while you're away they give you a new one. You can rent new cars that get you 49 miles per gallon which basically pays for the rental if you're not staying too long but you're driving a long distance. Having an EV that you charge from your own house from your solar panels is a great deal cuz you won't have to pay for gas but I don't know about anything else.

I'm so sick & tired of seeing green license plates (electric & hybrid cars) that I bought myself a truck with a 7.3 IDI to piss off eco warriors.

True hybrids seem pretty good. Gasoline or plug in at your house. If ever there were no gas you could still charge from solar panels. Or if no power you could have a big can of gas saved. Apparently hybrids also work as decent electric generators to plug things from your house into.

Electric vehicles make perfect sense.

For sellers of such vehicles.

3. Personal Safety at Charging Locations Can Feel Dicey

It’s a good idea to plan the times at which you charge your vehicle. We had to stop on a Sunday evening at a supercharger located in an Ikea parking lot. Ikea was closed, and there were no walkable amenities around it. Ditto for our visit to another Tesla supercharger located across from a pawn shop. I got the uneasy feeling that many of these unsupervised locations — and the length of time required to be there — were crime scenes waiting to happen. Sure you can stop charging and be on your way. But on your way to where? To another supercharger.

LOL. Props to Tesla for redpilling the masses.
