That being said, one good tropical storm/hurricane would’ve done the same thing. I’m assuming that’s the end of N Clearwater/Caladesi, which the sandbar comes and goes that links the two (minus the dredged ICW channel going out into the gulf).
The bill from the city/county for the heavy equipment to be trucked out there and to fill it with sand will be substantial.
