The only good thing about Illinois is the south central area where the Amish live. I’ve been to Arcola and the surrounding area. That’s the real deal right there.

I lived there for a while. There a lots of good people away from Chicago and the burbs. Many of them would happily build a moat around the city and have it fuck off.
