German volunteer fighting for Ukraine describe war crimes

German mercenary Jonas Kratzenberg fought for Ukraine for months. He now reports that the abuse and torture of Russian POW was normal, and that he witnessed three POWs being taken out into the forest and executed.

you can argue that war in itself is a crime. Atrocities and war are inextricably linked. There is no question of the 'good' vs the 'bad', that's childish claptrap

Never heard of child soldiers? There are war vets alive today that have killed child soldiers and it has scarred them. That is why soldiers are less likely to call for war. However, they are only tools and rarely do they make books which are celebrated centuries later.

The writings available are very biased towards warhawks which want to be treated like kings even if they lose and surrender.
