I remember many moons ago when I thought OZ & NZ would be good SHTF locations when the US finally went down the drain, & actively entertained the idea of relocating at some point. Not anymore. Both of them have turned into authoritarian police states straight out of 1984. Sad...

My guess is a node of a phased array underwater LF sonar network. But it's probably just light from Venus refracting through some swamp gas.
