they have most functions in the brain stem which is why they may run when you cut the head off. as far as hypnotized I'd guess they'd not run around as the brain is already disconnected so to speak.

interesting. would've tried this when I had chickens.

they have a lot of unique behaviors. they're not "smart" as you'd consider it, but do respond well to training and conditioning.

They did this with humans for 3 years with a carrot on a string and a hoop.

It was always going to change if you jump through the hoop and catch the carrot.

This does work. I only did it with one of my chickens, a Rhode Island Red, her name was Rosie, of course, but she was the one who I knew would cooperate, and it worked. So cool!
