Possibly shot his own buddy, along with the Russian, at 1:12. Note the Russian soldier in the upper right at 1:58/9. That's the one that gets him.

It's kind of wild but also unsurprising they can still talk people into doing this.

Yeah, I was going to say it looked like he got shot by his own man.

From enough of what I have read / understand, the ones on the front are basically pulled off the streets and forced up there.

Surprising they don't just surrender, although it kind of sounds like they were afterwards. I guess in order to do that as well, you would need to make sure to frag those behind you that might make your surrender a moot point.

Funny how the kike @mikenigger hasn't decided to offer himself up to his lord and master Baal on the front of the new Israeli motherland.

Back in my younger days when I was stupid enough to be involved in these games. There was one rule that could never be violated. If you can be seen you can be killed.

They've added a new rule. If you can be seen and killed, you can be recorded on video while it's happening.

I was armor, hiding a tank is really really hard. If it’s on the move it can be seen from everywhere. I liked to get into position early, while it was still dark. I would get my tank set in hull defilade. Barely two feet of armor sticking up. I’d hide what was there with branches and brush, just enough to break up the outline. I would keep everything off, no motor no hydraulics. Just hand crank the turret. After my first shot, we fired up the motor and beat feet out of there! If you can be seen you can be killed. Being killed in a tank is quick and violent. I chose not to go out that way. I spent a lot of time not being seen.

Not always. Saw some recent WW2 tank footage, and one dude got hit by another tank. He climbed out of there with a missing leg. Died eventually, probably didn't take that long, but there's randomness involved.

Even worse, there is a video of a tank driver in a Sherman, the turret is over his hatch, the tank is on fire. He can’t open it, you see his hands desperately trying to move the hatch, like he had done a thousand times before. Watching him die is painful. It happens. I could literally feel his pain. Sitting there sleeping on the gunner sight, waiting for the TC to call the target, I was oblivious.

I don’t want to say. I would rather be accused of false valor than reveal my good times. I just like to vent here. This is where I can tell my horror stories and maybe feel better about the things I did. I don’t have ptsd. Living in fear every single day for days on end did not have that effect on me. So I think.

Tanks were barely used in Afghanistan. Not very useful in that theater. A few were sent over about halfway through the war/occupation.

We routinely sent over the A1 Abrams to the sandbox.

Flew with one in the back of a 130 to Afghanistan.

They weren't part of the invasion and weren't in theater for a number of years. We didn't have any Abrams in Afghanistan until 2010/2011. I ETS'd in 2015 (12B, not tank crew). I do remember when they got there though.

They had a bunch of chevy suburbans sitting out in the desert that had keys still in them the only problem were the tires were flat also ATVs I wanted to load 3 of each on a Barney back to Travis but the douchknuckles wouldn't let me.

Hooah or oorah? Muhreens got rid of their last tank battalion a couple of years ago and the troops either separated or did a branch transfer to Army.
