When washing machines came along urban women were sewing miles of fabric into clothes and decorating them with frills, ribbons, pleats, rosettes and all kinds of things they had to hand wash and dry.

As washing them became easier they disappeared all that and the massive amount of fabric it took.

They outsourced themselves and the kids they needed to help them do all that. They were only required to love their children enough to keep a clean house for them and feed them healthy foods and they were part pf a family for life.

FYI....in one year 6 women were killed by crocodiles in Jamaica while doing laundry...even to this day laundry is done in a puddle or croc infested river.

Washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator, air conditioning, vacuum cleaner, microwave, robot vacuum, ...
