I honestly don't think that I'll be able to watch the show without Cavill. He truly had the kind of heroic look you'd want for Geralt, even if it was inaccurate to the book. I don't think I can accept the replacement.

Unless they are talking about an unreleased season, this was a long time ago. Cavill isn't the Witcher in the upcoming one.

Nvm i guess he is in season 3 but not 4. Maybe it was 2 months ago.

I played through all three. I pretty much marathoned my way through the first two. The third one kind of lags about 2/3s of the way through. Definitely worth checking out if you like story driven RPGs, though you might find the combat in the first two boring depending on when you started gaming.

My one major criticism is I considered Jennifer to be kind of a cunt, but you're still pretty much forced to deal with her somewhat amicably. That, and the English voice acting is pretty unbearable (Geralt sounds like a constipated, queer Batman), though you can easily fix that by swapping over to Polish.

Usually I skip the Action RPGs. I like turn-based, and there's more good shit of that vein out there than there used to be so I'm not forced outside my comfort zone.

The first two play kind of like an MMO; right click to autoattack, use whatever abilities you want, dodges and stuff are automatic. They're exactly like the first Vampire: the Masquerade game or KOTOR if you played those. I actually prefer them to the third one, which is more God of War/Dark Souls-esque where you're jumping and rolling around and shit, though it's not as hardcore. Definitely doesn't sound like something you'd be in to, but I liked the story enough to put up with it.

I meant Redemption as opposed to Bloodlines, where they gutted the story and turned it into a bad FPS instead.

Was there supposed to be another one like Redemption? That would have been cool.

Oh sheeeeit. nah there's supposed to be a Bloodlines: 2. But they fired the original studio and I think some of the developers and then got kinda tight lipped about it. Paradox still owns the license, and they claimed earlier this month to still be developing.
