So they knew it was happening and heard the creaking and groaning before the big boom violently disintegrated them in an instant.
The company knew this and still didn't contact authorities for 8 hours. Nearby sonar buoys picked up the explosion, so their fate was known on Monday and the whole week has just been theater to feed the media frenzy.

I actually believe they heard it with their ears, not through the sensor system, in the last moments of their lives. And that's quite a horrifying prospect.

Just like that bridge that was built in Florida that collapsed there was celebrated that it was built by women or just like that huge forest fire that was started by women who were trying to do a controlled burn.
