The Aptera is a inexpensive solar powered electric vehicle that will never need fuel or plugging in for most drivers and is finally close to production.

This video is 3 months old and a lot has happened in the last 3 months including huge influx of money enabling production tooling and finalization of the design. So they're going to be in production very soon in mass production. And they have a way to scale production that's different than traditional manufacturing which is not covered in this video but it's covered in some of the app Tara channel videos which are good to watch. You can buy stock as a non-accredited investor so it may be a early Tesla investor like opportunity

Sounds super totally believable and not a huge investor ripoff or anything like that at all.

EV companies exist to take advantage of government grants.

It's pure plunder.

Anyone who lived through Northern winters will ask: The sun??? What sun??

[ - ] Sector7 0 points 1.9 yearsJun 22, 2023 16:54:30 ago (+0/-0)

Same goes for California this year. There were two full days of sun in a row earlier this week, for the first time in months. Temp soared into the mid 70s! Back to full fog again today.

Why don't we see more innovation/progress on the electric motorcycle front?
I knew a guy who owned one and he swore by it.
That seems like something that would scale better with the way the infrastructure has been sluggish to support full-sized EV's: lower footprint to allow for more parking spaces and charging; can be charged off 110V; higher efficiency for short trips and simple commuting, so less charging time, hence, less public chargers needed.

No, I get it: they don't want to replace the gas fleet for the working class; that will be reserved for the rich and politically-connected; us plebs will be stuck using public transportation and beholden to the system even more so.

Actually the aptera is technically a motorcycle as it has three wheels.

Sorry to hear about the developer's sudden and unexpected suicide by 3 sunbeams to the back of the head.

Tragically, he made sure to dump all his IP into a volcano before that

D'oh, I just hate when that happens!

You spelled "death trap" wrong.

I predict this will be another angle they will employ to attack gas-powered vehicle ownership: public safety.
The same way driving drunk is considered a hazard to public safety and a matter of interest, any vehicle over a certain weight or of certain construction (over X amount of metal) will be deemed too dangerous to be on the road with all these plastic coffins and will either be regulated beyond the common person's means through increased licensing, registration, and insurance, or outright banned.

"Sorry, but you're just too dangerous to be allowed on the road."

Golly!
