I've heard that falling durian have kill many shit skins. For that reason, I leave it to it's own devices.

Now I want to try it more.

Appreciate the report.

I've eaten a lot of different foods and Durian has always been on my list.

Never managed to find any and always wanted to try it.

I'm still going to, for the same reason as you did. Thanks for the heads-up though :)

Can confirm, it's not very exceptional in any real regard.

False!

It is exceptionally unpleasant smelling. I missed my last chance to try it because it smelled like something I didn't want to try.

Dragon fruit or Rambutan is better

I've had both of those.

2 varieties of Dragon Fruit, in fact. One pink and one yellow.

We tried these and I love them, so I tried planting some of its seeds. They all sprouted and are growing in various spots around the yard now; but we've gotten no fruit from them yet.

I hope they don't die like pineapples after they fruit.

I was disappointed by dragon fruit, tasted like watered down kiwi.

Papaya is somewhat the same, between the smell and taste.
Perhaps durian would benefit from dehydration like papaya does?

It smells a lot like diesel fuel. Not appetizing.

For me it was the food of gods and I, like others, could eat it exclusively for days on end. It is without doubt, my favourite food.

Sometimes a vendor will have durian at the farmers market I attend. The entire place will smell like wet garbage. I prefer Jackfruit. It still stinks and it's sticky as fuck to cut up and prepare, but the taste is so much more rewarding

A fruit I only tasted relatively recently and that I quite like (despite the trillions of pips) is...Custard Apple.

Yep. Also called Paw Paw. I discovered it by accident. I saw it in the woods and said to myself, that looks fucking edible, fuck it. Didn't know what it was for years after that. Very good. Very hard to find at its proper stage of ripeness, despite some of our woods being 1/2 paw paw.

"important to me to try pretty much everything once."

I'm curious about plant food too but when I put some exotic fruit in the supermarket trolley, she who is a c..t would take it out: "you don't need that" (expensive).

So before I left work, every day I'd go into the local fruit store and buy a piece of fruit I'd long been curious about. I wish I'd done this before buying two guava trees though.

Strange. Most fruit is cheap as fuck, even the relatively exotic stuff. Durian was about $20, but that's pretty much the only fruit like that.

Duran Duran were popular in their heyday, though!

"So it doesn't make a good desert.". I should hope not!

Sorry to be an arsehole, bro:

“Dessert” and “desert” sound similar, but they have different definitions. Dessert is a sweet treat or dish usually served at the end of a meal. Desert can be used as a noun that refers to “dry and barren land,” [Voat Editing Service]
