That's a very different environment for her.

Australia seems dangerous, but cold and heights are a different kind of danger.

It takes a while to really know how to live safely in cold areas. Really she should have traveled with a guide

Dude, we have snow and mountains here too. Not all of Australia is the outback and desert, we also have temperate, subtropical, tropical, and temperate zones. I think we actually have more climate zones than America.
