Meanwhile I have the opposite problem. I've read way too many books and run into issues with spellcheck telling me I spelled a word wrong, have to look it up, and find out that I spelled it correctly.

Instead, the in-built dictionary the spellcheck is using doesn't have the word. Which is bizarre considering the damned thing has more memory for words than exists in all languages. I then have to double-check the spelling and have to add the word to the spell-check dictionary.

This could be attributed laziness in programming brought about via diversity hiring, or it could be done on purpose to limit the words available to people trying to think their way out of the communist propaganda box.

I make up words I don't care if they are in a dictionary.

Here I made some up just now:

Fagocious, Gaymenting, Nigtastic, Jewrendous,

Yeah, and now we get nonsensical words like "yeet" or "twerk", obnoxious acronyms like "YOLO", and adding definitions to existing words like "ratchet".

English should never have been shared with niggers.

[ - ] Clubberlang 3 points 1.4 yearsJun 2, 2023 21:59:20 ago (+3/-0)

That's a bunch of yiddiocy what faggotron would make up such troontastic kiketisms?

[ - ] Breeder 3 points 1.4 yearsJun 3, 2023 01:15:31 ago (+3/-0)

The best word of all has already been invented tho: Niggardly

[ - ] Kozel 3 points 1.4 yearsJun 3, 2023 01:18:49 ago (+3/-0)

I just made up more words:

Faggardly, Jewardly, Chinkardly, Groomardly, Zogardly

[ - ] Breeder 1 point 1.4 yearsJun 3, 2023 01:24:45 ago (+1/-0)

Those are all amazing but you can tell a cashier to look up the word Niggardly

[ - ] Kozel 1 point 1.4 yearsJun 3, 2023 01:26:58 ago (+1/-0)

Maybe I'm jaded but I would not count on anyone to look up anything I tell them. I would count on them to post some bullshit to facetikgram instead.

Ok, that's fine, making adverbs and adjectives can be fun, but truly, if you have this amazing talent, create some fucking nouns or verbs you Jewrendous, Nigtasic, Gaymenting, Fagolicious degenerate nigger faggot.

Any retard can add suffixes to an existing word. If you ever took Latin, or any of the Romance languages which are derived from it, it is possible to turn a word in to a verb/noun, but much more challenging.

Create a verb, with full conjugation.

The dictionary literally defines woman as a man. Who the fuck cares what the dictionary says. It’s YOUR language. Make up your own words and correct grammar if needed. If people understand it it’s right.

[ - ] Kozel 1 point 1.4 yearsJun 3, 2023 00:07:39 ago (+1/-0)

There was a point in time when the dictionary meant something. That period ended in the early 2000s.

I think it's on purpose, only because some of the words that are missing are absurd. Microsoft office in the 90s had a more complete dictionary. A lot of them are forms of words. A lot of technology is going backwards for no reason. I swear search engines don't work anymore. Now they only send you to 12 sites and give you irrelevant results. They used to give you access to hundreds of thousands of websites and would return exact matches for what you want. If they gave us old search and claimed it was new people would think it was more amazing than AI.

They are taking technology away from us. I don't know what they do with their billions of dollars because I could index the 12 sites they are willing to take you to for a couple thousand at most. All of Reddit could fit on a $100 drive. Wikipedia, a $12 thumb drive. If you learn about indexing it's just a different way of storing and compressing the documents for quick retrieval. The index is about the same size as the documents.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 1 point 1.4 yearsJun 3, 2023 03:43:27 ago (+1/-0)

I think it's on purpose, only because some of the words that are missing are absurd.

Yes and no. I think it's "on purpose" in the sense that they are hiring pajeet retards who only copy-paste most/all of their code, leading to badly copied code or badly done dictionaries copied endlessly.

The search thing is absolutely on purpose. I can't find shit anymore without having to wade through a zillion unrelated results trying to get me to buy useless trash. Not to mention everything that has a non-jew/commie slant simply... Doesn't show up. That or you have to get really specific and creative with your search terms.

[ - ] HeavyBrain 0 points 1.4 yearsJun 3, 2023 06:41:03 ago (+0/-0)

Yep. If I see a video and the guy is talking a about an article (from a mid to major sized publication mind you) I often have to type in the complete headline to maybe get an result if the topic is too touchy.

[ - ] albatrosv15 1 point 1.4 yearsJun 3, 2023 05:56:12 ago (+1/-0)

I guess the joke of searching the net with masscan is not so far fetched now.

[ - ] Clubberlang 0 points 1.4 yearsJun 2, 2023 22:04:44 ago (+0/-0)

That's the problem when you have a culture cutting it's words short putting slang like finna and bae into the dictionary.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 2 points 1.4 yearsJun 3, 2023 03:44:57 ago (+2/-0)

it could be done on purpose to limit the words available to people trying to think their way out of the communist propaganda box.

BINGO

I first saw the concept illustrated in Orwell's 1984. "Newspeak" was specifically designed to limit thought and prevent you from thinking outside the party-line.

[ - ] o0shad0o 3 points 1.4 yearsJun 2, 2023 22:22:53 ago (+3/-0)

Dude, I've been catching errors in novels published by very popular authors. It's disheartening.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 2 points 1.4 yearsJun 3, 2023 03:39:41 ago (+2/-0)

It's especially egregious when you catch them misusing common English sayings, and it's clearly because they don't know how to use them.

[ - ] Wahaha 0 points 1.4 yearsJun 3, 2023 04:50:39 ago (+0/-0)

It's especially jarring if someone writes lighted instead of lit or shined instead of shone.

[ - ] PhantomXLII 0 points 1.4 yearsJun 2, 2023 20:39:33 ago (+0/-0)

and run into issues with spellcheck telling me I spelled a word wrong, have to look it up, and find out that I spelled it correctly

I relate to this hard. Or I use a word for something that I know is a thing, but then someone says "no" and I'm questioning myself.

Just today I was talking with my mom, we were making fun of dad saying "prostrate" instead of "prostate". We correct him on this every single time.

Well, I'm talking to her and say that at least he is using a real word. She disagreed.

GUESS WHAT?

It's a real word, and it means what I thought it means.

[ - ] RabbiKinderschtupper 1 point 1.4 yearsJun 2, 2023 21:20:49 ago (+1/-0)

Prostrate is kneeling or lying down in subserviance.

Prostate is that thing that makes my old ass have to piss every 10 minutes.

I didn't look prostrate up, so correct me if I'm wrong.

[ - ] PhantomXLII 2 points 1.4 yearsJun 2, 2023 21:25:05 ago (+2/-0)

Basically. Prostrate can be in subservience, but it can also just be a basic "stretcheth thy fuck out on the carpet" thing.

[ - ] Rotteuxx 2 points 1.4 yearsJun 2, 2023 21:46:34 ago (+2/-0)

Understanding the dunning-kruger effect & having the capacity for introspection makes a big difference. Without that you remain an eternal moron, educated or not.

Worse, if you stop reading your vocabulary will shrink. Since most of the time I use English instead of my first language I catch myself struggle to communicate certain concepts in my first language. Takes a while to recall the proper words.

[ - ] PeckerwoodPerry 4 points 1.4 yearsJun 2, 2023 19:28:52 ago (+4/-0)

When I was a kid my dad used a lot of big words. I'd always ask them what the meant if I didn't know. Maybe this person was raised by a single mom, or maybe they're retarded. Either way, they shouldn't be reading Carl Sagan if the don't know what cauterize means.

[ - ] NuckFiggers 2 points 1.4 yearsJun 2, 2023 20:39:48 ago (+2/-0)*

But don't you know? Carl Sagan is big. Now that everyone's read that White Fragility book and the Gawd Delusion, Sagan is the new thing. Almost as big as that Bill Nye guy. Because Believe Science, right? Not like those dumb Churchy right wingers. I just wish Neil Degrass Tyson would write a book. He is a PROUD BLACK GENIUS.
