It's sad to think of what would have happened to her had she been captured.

I recall reading a story somewhere of someone's great grandpa or something being in the Red Army in Berlin at the time. He came across two German girls, teens, trying to run away. He didn't know any German and tried to direct them away from Soviet lines.

Later he was in the area and he heard women screaming, came around the corner and saw Soviet soldiers grabbing those girls and forcing them to do things I won't describe.

If there is ever a day where we take the fight to hostiles, I swear by God this sacred oath: If I ever catch ANYONE raping anyone, I will fucking skin them alive on the spot, and anyone who tries to stop me gets a bullet.

I think occasionally on the Rape of Berlin, what terror that must've been like... I hope and pray every son of a bitch that participated is burning in Hell.
