Minimum engagement, never get personal, all conversations extreme brevity, treat them like a stranger you dislike, regardless of how much work interaction you have with them.

If you can show that you are really friendly with other staff in front of HR, then go back to giving HR the cold shoulder like they just shat in your cornflakes is a perfect way to show disdain that really gets under their skin.

HR are all hyper-social femoids that only exist to start drama in order to maintain their useless jobs.
