300 academic economists' open letter attacks Jeffrey Sachs for his saying some simple, obvious, non-MSM truths about Ukraine past, present and future.

https://blogs.berkeley.edu/2023/03/20/open-letter-to-jeffrey-sachs-on-the-russia-ukraine-war/

I mean, the letter is pure: "Do not think X; Do not say Y". It is nothing other than yet another complete fucking disgrace to the worthless American university system.

These state- and television-directed place-holders attack professor Sacks because he, Sacks, has said (!) sentences that :

- "propagate the Kremlin’s narratives"

and because he stated that

- “The US overlooked two harsh political realities in Ukraine. The first is that Ukraine is deeply divided ethnically and politically between Russia-hating nationalists in western Ukraine and ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine and Crimea.

and he

- stated that if Ukraine offered Putin Crimea and Donbas in December 2021 or March 2022 then “the fighting would stop" (The horror!)

and because he, Professor Sacks correctly said

- “The basis for peace is clear. Ukraine would be a neutral non-NATO country. Crimea would remain home to Russia’s Black Sea naval fleet, as it has been since 1783. A practical solution would be found for the Donbas, such as a territorial division, autonomy, or an armistice line.

and he is attacked for the simple truth

- that “Russia certainly will never accept NATO in Ukraine.

and Professor Sacks said correct and non-MSM approved words :

- “So, my view is that […] Crimea has been historically, and will be in the future, effectively, at least de facto Russian.

and because he, Professor Sacks:

- "[does] not seem to be particularly concerned about [Finland & Sweden] joining NATO"

and because he said words that

- "treat Ukraine as a pawn on the US geo-political chessboard"

------

There is more. But the level of this disgrace is incredible.

Thinking on it, and the high-school level letter (read it, it is _really_ something), my feeling as to why Professor Sacks has refused to comment on it, when he could easily demolish these fools' position, is that he, Sacks, can clearly see the huge damage that this letter has and is and will do the academic economics community. I don't know, but I feel that he, Sack, maybe does not want to do any more damage.

Yeah, and 50 intelligence faggots penned a letter about the Hunter Biden laptop, too. That letter was about as truthful as this one.

These US based academics can go home, grab a rifle, and try to change the course of Ukraine, but it isn't going to help.
