Never relax and never rescue - Upgoat - "where a goat can be a goat"

I had to water rescue a friend in a river once that got the wind knocked out of him cliff jumping. I was exceptionally strong swimmer at the time, but had no idea how to perform a rescue.
When I got to him I just knew he wasn’t going to let me roll him over on his back so I could side swim him in.
His elbows were kind of locked in to his stomach as he was starting to go under trying to doggy paddle and breath.
So I just took a deep breath and before he could grab me I dove and came up at him from underneath by grabbing his elbow and power swimming him up and to shore.
As dumb of a method as that sounds, thankfully it worked perfectly cause he even told me he was desperate to grab me as I swam up but because I went in from below, as soon as his head came up and he was able to still try to breathe he didn’t feel the need to reach down and actually grab me.

Thankfully we only had about 50ft to go, so I was able to push as hard as I could on 1 breath for about 10-12 seconds and I just dropped him and came up for a 5 second breath, he was just barely starting to go head under again but I got him to shore on round 2.

Another friend even got a photo of it while a family across the River seen the whole thing.
Fucker never even thanked me and went on to become the biggest COVID fag I know lol.
But he’s a paramedic so all his saves are really mine.. lol.

Haha, if it’s possible to be thankful in body language alone, I’d say he was thankful, but he just wouldn’t say it, lol.
I even told the story among friends a few times over the years and joked how he never even thanked me, and he still refused to say it.
He never really told the story cause he’d have to lie to say his head wasn’t underwater ready to die before I got to him.
He wouldn’t lie, he just couldn’t acknowledge it.

I did an advanced life saving class as a kid and what your technique is on target. Coming from beneath is something they teach, also roll on back and side-swim.

I’ve never looked it up even afterwards, but I’d never seen or heard of it before just doing it.

The side swim idea was just from watching TV, but even that I’ve only seen done like lifeguards do when they give people a floatation device to hang on to first.

How exactly do they suggest you hold or grab someone from beneath? If my friend didn’t have his elbows right at his gut to grab, I think maybe pushing from under their arm would be the only other place to grab.
You can’t push from under their ass or just push up against their stomach.

Why can’t niggers swim? I used to watch Survivor. They always set the camp up near water. About half the challenges were water related. They always sat out the blacks on the water challenges. These nigs looked like they went to the gym everyday, but they couldn’t swim a stroke. You have about a year of prep time after you’re selected. Go to the YMCA and take some swim lessons before you go on TV. My white ass could swim like a dolphin when I was 5. It’s not hard.

big fast torpedos of flesh and fangs called sharks are in the ocean. lots of reefs off of africa's coast with lost of tasty fish. nowadays, much less millenia-old coral reefs now though, due to pollution and niggers litterally fishing with explosives for decades has really done a number on aquatic life in the area. So, maybe now more africans will pass on the genetic instincts to keep one's head above the water instead of becoming a tasty shark snack. Just a theory.

There's a particular grip you get a drowning person with so that they cannot drag you down with them. You basically flip 'em on their back and drag them along with you. Obv nobody here would bother with an animal like that though.
